We Are Beams

Disabled children and young people deserve to be supported, treated fairly, and to be able to reach their full potential. Their families should have access to the help they need to guide them through the unique challenges of raising a disabled child. Many are failed by the system. Their families feel lost, frustrated, unsupported financially, and that their children could be living better lives.

We Are Beams transforms the lives of disabled children and young people across Kent. We work with them and their families to provide the tailored support that they need to have a better life.

“As parents we had almost forgotten what it is like to be a couple, let alone individuals! These overnight respite care allows us to experience life outside the relentless bubble of looking after children with disabilities.” We offer an array of services including organised short breaks, social activities, independent living workshops, family support, financial advice, respite, and overnight stays. Our goal is that every family we work with will have greater independence and control of their futures.

We need to raise £2.5 million in order to continue our care services to the most vulnerable in society. Please help us to continue to make a difference to those who need it most.
